An international delegation of Life Sciences Baltics participants visited Vilnius City Innovation Industrial Park
On September 16, an international delegation from Estonia, Poland, Taiwan, and the United States, visiting Lithuania for Life Sciences Baltics, was welcomed at Vilnius City Innovation Industrial Park (VCIIP).
At the headquarters of Biotecha Group, the delegation was greeted by teams from VCIIP Operator Northtown Vilnius and Biotecha Group.
During the visit, the guests were introduced to VCIIP’s vision and ongoing development. Biotecha Group also presented its activities and growth, providing insight into the company’s operations and the broader life sciences ecosystem within VCIIP.
“We are pleased that the first impressions of Life Sciences Baltics visitors regarding Lithuania’s life sciences ecosystem are being formed here at VCIIP,” said Dr. Gediminas Pauliukevičius, CEO of Northtown Vilnius, at the start of the meeting. “So today, we are here not only to present our vision but also to demonstrate how it is becoming a reality: Vilnius is home to a strong life sciences community that fosters innovation and develops partnerships influencing global trends in the sector.”
Dr. Pauliukevičius also emphasized that it is particularly meaningful at this stage of VCIIP’s development — when the community is already established and new buildings are rapidly rising — to host the delegation at Biotecha Group’s headquarters. He noted that Biotecha was among the very first companies to show confidence in the vision of developing VCIIP as a strong life sciences hub in the region.
The international guests expressed interest in VCIIP’s rapid development, the alignment of its vision with national and municipal strategies, and explored opportunities for further collaboration with companies located in the park through smaller, thematic sessions.

Currently, 24 companies, active in the fields of life sciences, new manufacturing processes, materials and technologies, as well as creative and inclusive sectors, operate or are in the process of establishing themselves at VCIIP. Total investments attracted for the development of Vilnius City Innovation Industrial Park exceed €280 million.
In the life sciences sector, 13 companies are currently active within VCIIP: Biogami, Biotecha, BioProcess Solutions, Biogroup Baltics, CMB Medicina, Domus Naturae, Experimentica, Gensinta, Imunodiagnostika, Stem Cell Research Center, Molecular Biotechnology Center, Pentasweet, and Sanobiotec.
In September 2025, the Vilnius City Council approved the second phase of VCIIP’s expansion in a new 39,4 hectare area in Liepkalnis, Vilnius, which is planned to provide infrastructure-ready space for an additional 20 innovative companies.
